And watched me evolve into memory planning (planning plus memory keeping). My biggest discovery during Covid-10 last year, was the TCMC community. <a href="https://thecoffeemonsterzco.com" target="_blank">TheCoffeeMonsterzCo </a>has become my latest obsession to use in my planner. Helen (the wonderful creator) has the cutest emoti stickers. And my washi collection has grown considerably the last year. Well this week SweetieS asked me for a a lined notebook so she could start keeping a diary. Needless to say I was super happy that she has chosen to follow in mummy's footsteps (I still have all my diaries tucked away)</p><p>Since she had asked for a simple notebook I felt I needed to spruce it up a little. So I started with printing her a calendar to start of the month. And what better calendar than the freebie TCMC offers on their <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/thecoffeemonsterzco" target="_blank">Facebook group</a>? (this is the most amazing group, so I recommend joining if you need some sunshine in your life - doesn't hurt if you like planner and sticker though)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1589" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzwwtwwODZmg8g1bftaAsjW4Dn1awP8p_F_cF6Ub6z82fNS1M-NlX055tMnomZdUD5cTF8RjbMfZco1SEm8Gz5uZUUJzQVC35wbkPQ3nAlBnPYTD2JPDTovsizLrp4m2-Prg9INnytv2LS/s320/IMG-9992.JPG" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i>how cute is this calendar???</i></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i><br /></i></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The cover design was chosen by the girls, both the flower (from a few I had picked out) and the foil color. Just a quote picked up from the packaging on my newest discovery, <a href="https://www.rituals.com/no-no/the-ritual-of-karma-parfum-dinterieur-1108319.html?source=productlisting&showbacklink=true" target="_blank">the Rituals of Karma interior perfume.</a></span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">
The Rituals of Karma scent is one of my favorites. So now that it is release in the interior perfume I want to pick it up the next time I pass by the store. Still avoiding unneccessary shopping trips due to the Covid19 pandemic going around in the world. I know I could just order it online, but I like stroling thru the Rituals store. I recommend dropping by a Rituals store if possible, their stores are so nicely decorated giving a sense of calmness and peace. Did I mention they have a <a href="https://www.rituals.com/no-no/salg" target="_blank">sale</a> going on?</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">
<br /></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">
Now I’m just wondering when Rituals will release Ritual of Sakura in an interior perfume?</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">
<br /></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">
<i>-do you have a Rituals scent favorite?</i></div>

Schools have been closed and those who can, work from home.. We have also been encouraged to social distancing and limiting human interaction as much as possible.<br />
<br />
We are now in week 2 of the national lock down and things are still spinning. I see many frustrated posts on social media about kids/youth/parents not respecting the need for social distancing to limit the spread of the Corona virus. With kids, it can be hard. The kids cannot sit inside all day watching tv and playing on the ipad. They need fresh air and movement. Luckily, the girls have each other to play with. I can’t imaging how the days a panning out for the only child…<br />
<br />
SweetieS’ wonderful teachers have put together a daily plan for us to follow from home during these weeks. For SweetieL the day to day life is harder. While SweetieS is having “schooltime” there is not a plan for us to follow from her kindergarten. There is only so much fun in coloring, activity sheets, perler beads and games. Especially when we have to limit the noise, so SweetieS can concentrate on her schoolwork. Nevertheless we are getting thru the days…however slow they sometimes pan out.<br />
<br />
The slow pace in our day-to-day life have made me appreciate the smaller things. Today I saw that my orchids have actually created sprouts! So maybe my fingers aren’t that brown after all. One can only hope.<br />

In the meeting we were discussing SweetieS progress in the different school subjects.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In the past year she has made good progress when it comes to reading and writing. But sometimes I feel SweetieS gets bored and doesn’t want to whether read or write. When the teacher showed me a few pages of stories they have been writing in class I got the idea of book reports. Using a creative way to combine reading and writing would hopefully keep SweetieS motivated.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPdsLUN4gADH8Pbi6QckeIOwOcrV5R2uIZNXrm0HePJWaqrvl0Klhwnn1kuOCPKADIYMYxOZQFyf_2PZ8IB0rtARNPpbjsobM3eBGinr7Sk1lfEOOCrWbheBjFAZmwb92nlVmH4ZNT3pLf/s1600/Bilde+17.12.2019%252C+20+00+41.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1334" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPdsLUN4gADH8Pbi6QckeIOwOcrV5R2uIZNXrm0HePJWaqrvl0Klhwnn1kuOCPKADIYMYxOZQFyf_2PZ8IB0rtARNPpbjsobM3eBGinr7Sk1lfEOOCrWbheBjFAZmwb92nlVmH4ZNT3pLf/s320/Bilde+17.12.2019%252C+20+00+41.png" width="179" /></a></div>
<i>Inspiration</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is a stamp I bought of Aliexpress, from <a href="https://a.aliexpress.com/2H4jGZck" target="_blank">this </a>listing. But the stamped image will be to small for SweetieS to use as her hand writing still needs practice..and shrinkage if it is to fit inside this print.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As the concept of books reports have yet to be introduced in class yet, I made an example for SweetieS to reference. Writing a few lines in her own words about the story line in the book will make SweetieS both reflect over what she just read and describe the story line in her own words. Hopefully this will keep things interesting.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdEvAO3khIzVtqXRM8IMfVhotjdvHgPZwVkpSICiNqX6GJVdl61CjQBl8TDpRplBHYXguGhNW9eWxAS6pCXVOHskSH02DB9iGlzGccrFKZFcSmnrSc8gXxrF3e28ghyphenhyphennD3sacGpQmKmSiM/s1600/Bilde+20.12.2019%252C+22+55+32.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdEvAO3khIzVtqXRM8IMfVhotjdvHgPZwVkpSICiNqX6GJVdl61CjQBl8TDpRplBHYXguGhNW9eWxAS6pCXVOHskSH02DB9iGlzGccrFKZFcSmnrSc8gXxrF3e28ghyphenhyphennD3sacGpQmKmSiM/s320/Bilde+20.12.2019%252C+22+55+32.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Been a while since I wrote a book report </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As for the rating of the books. We are going for a star system. We haven’t decided if we are going to just color in the stamped stars or if we a using stickers. For now we will use the stamped stars as placeholders. The star stamp is an old <a href="https://www.sizzix.com/designer/stephanie-barnard" target="_blank">Stephanie Bernhard</a> stamp I've had for years (pre <a href="https://thestampsoflife.com/" target="_blank">Stamps of life</a>) so I don't remember the set it came in, but here you can use any small stamp you feel like. I ordered <a href="https://a.aliexpress.com/5EbmZ3Cc" target="_blank">these </a>star stickers of Aliexpress if SweetieS opts for stickers.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Me being big planner fan, of course I have made planners for my girls. For now these pages are inserted into SweetieS «training planner». It also holds pages for her to practice her writing. I just printed some pages I found on Pintrest. Like <a href="https://pin.it/h2qjdymu4xfgmu" target="_blank">these</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

In our previous couch I always had a «project» or two taking up a seat. To DaddyO slight frustration, it always looked abit messy. When a few springs gave in, we opted for a new couch. After looking around and trying a few couches, we landed on the <a href="https://www.ikea.com/no/no/cat/vallentuna-serien-35179/" target="_blank">Vallentuna series by IKEA</a>. This is a modular couch that you can put together as you please. We went for the storage in every seat version. Now my projects can be put away when I’m not working on them. You can use IKEAs planner to try out the different setups to find your favorite and get a shopping list of all the parts you will need. Our setup has the code 4FQNNJ<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"> </span>in IKEAs planner wizard (which you can find <a href="https://www.ikea.com/no/no/planner/vallentuna-planner/" target="_blank">here</a>). The girls still make a mess when sitting on the couch, so we went for the faux leather cover for easier cleaning.<br />

<i><span id="goog_897129896"></span><span id="goog_897129897"></span>assembled, but not finished cleaning up</i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I happen to come over a few pins on Pintrest on couch storage and fell in love with the option to have charger cables tucked away in a shelf behind the couch. I did some more digging and started planning my own version. My shelf ended up being a little more complex that the version I started with. A hinged shelf with storage beneath. So I would have less clutter on the living room table. Win, win!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizG1m0_K_CRRRq5ryJqkUBACVJ7X-jNuOv4Ir5Ag2p0jryq2LGx1UFS12SYa8CPqTOuL-93YMwRvJ9ZUHoaV6m2Ki5Dmjp_rLCm2UPH4a5icgO8-W_3gxT8f6wTKOYVT1YJkQNl_RM3Oo8/s1600/Bilde+26.11.2019%252C+22+41+00.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizG1m0_K_CRRRq5ryJqkUBACVJ7X-jNuOv4Ir5Ag2p0jryq2LGx1UFS12SYa8CPqTOuL-93YMwRvJ9ZUHoaV6m2Ki5Dmjp_rLCm2UPH4a5icgO8-W_3gxT8f6wTKOYVT1YJkQNl_RM3Oo8/s320/Bilde+26.11.2019%252C+22+41+00.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<i>hinged</i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I bought wood planks the width I wanted for the shelf and some square planks to fasten the shelf on. When I was happy with my setup, all visible surfaces got three coats of wood stain from IKEA. Within the shelf I place a power cord for the mobile phone chargers. No more cables stretched across the couch.</div>

Well kinda, I was inspired by the colors on the packaging of Britneys perfume «Midnight fantasy».<br />
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>loving the color scheme</i></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
With November just around the corner, I thought I might as well start planning my next layout in my planner. Yes this is yet another planner post (not gossip related as the title might have suggested, sorry!)</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first week of November will be quite hectic for CasaR, so might as well take advantage of the free time I had this weekend.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
With the color scheme planned, I kinda had a sense of the layout I wanted to aim for...stars and galaxy of some sort. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<i>playing with the colors</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Finally got to try out the markers I ordered on Aliexpress a while back. This <a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33034986087.html" target="_blank">one </a>to be exact. I opted for the 100pack. Not sure I need this many colors, ever...I used the markers on an acrylic block (I wound up using a longer block than the one in the picture), sprayed some water on it and pulled it across the pages in a diagonal line. When the paper had dried, I went over with a Wink of Stella clear marker to give is some sparkle.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Tried to catch the glitter sparkle on the left side</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Then I went over with a number stencil and wrote up the days of the week with the purple marker I had used for the «galaxy» stripe.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">

Rituals is a brand of signature fragrances for body and home. So I had to look into this brand. When looking at the website I found that <a href="http://www.rituals.com/" target="_blank">Rituals</a> have several series. But the website does not give justice to the different scents that are in the different series available. Not until it will be possible to smell thru you screen.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So when CasaR went to Kiel this fall holiday, I had to make a trip to the Rituals store in the Sophienhof shopping center. Don’t get me wrong, there are stores here in Oslo. I just haven’t prioritized to spend time visiting one. The store is set up with a very zen feeling which in turn promotes peace and traquility. DaddyO even commented that he was surprised that in a store with so many fragrances he didn’t feel bombarded with the different smells. Though with kids along I felt a bit like an elephant in a china shop as many of the containers in the store were made of glas or porcelain. I found several Ritual series I also liked and wanted to try. Needless to say I left quite a few $$$ in the store.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My favorites so far...</div>
<div>
- Rituals of Dao</div>
<div>
- Rituals of Sakura (you were spot on Daffym)</div>
<div>
- Rituals of Karma</div>
<div>
- Rituals of the Happy buddha (not sure about this one yet, but the girls loved it)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I opted for the room perfume option to get the fragrance in house. Unfortunately not all the Rituals series I liked, come in the home perfume variety. So I thought I would give the hair and body mist variety a try. Unfortunatly there’s a big difference in size and pricepoint between the two varieties...<br />

<i><div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Home fragrance in 500ml vs Hair & body mist in 50ml</i></div>
</i><div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
The plan is to use these perfumes with the humidifier we have at home. We have several at home, but this is the one I have tried with the Rituals fragrance today. I bought this one on Aliexpress <a href="https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/seWU4SPe" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLZpVDGJ4OJMLfSOuspluKPdLWYdHDmARun0PYx4eZ4_mMfPNzdfbU0K4LcLXvODS6bJXG0qSq1csMM95lMltnY5HGhqs0-6IyEg3TtPPXMFiaayFypwv9yrQuMwgFWUfo04pmjCniDGTB/s1600/AD98A674-C3EE-4144-86B1-F469ABCD181D.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLZpVDGJ4OJMLfSOuspluKPdLWYdHDmARun0PYx4eZ4_mMfPNzdfbU0K4LcLXvODS6bJXG0qSq1csMM95lMltnY5HGhqs0-6IyEg3TtPPXMFiaayFypwv9yrQuMwgFWUfo04pmjCniDGTB/s320/AD98A674-C3EE-4144-86B1-F469ABCD181D.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>I have the one with the dark wood look</i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
This specific humidifier has a 550ml tank. That’s several hours of operation without needing to replenish the water. And with a few sprits of the home perfume, my home was filled with the Rituals of Dao in no time. My friend Daffym has gotten the perfume genie by Rituals. Being an Asian geek this should be right up my alley. A gadget that makes everything smell nice and can be controlled wirelessly using a smart phone (only for Android OS, so won’t work for iphones). Since CasaR is in Norway and we have a fireplace we use frequently, we need a humidifier to add some moisture to the air. The winters in Norway are dry enough...<br />

This years theme was the movie Trolls. We opted to not go for the glitter as the clean up would a nightmare. The nightmare I did get where more kids coming than the ones that had replied they were coming. So I was stressing out over not having enough tableware and goodie bags to go around. But luckily SweetieL didn’t pick up on that and she was a happy little birthday girl at the end of the day.<br />
Since I was stressing around most of the time, I didn’t have time to snap any pictures. Just one of the happy little troll called SweetieL<br />

With SweetieS starting school last fall and SweetieL being a handful I just haven’t had the energy to sit down and post. And I see that this blog is suffering the consequences. <br />
But here is a post from me, still alive and kicking.<br />
Eventhough the Summer has been knit free, I still have a few post coming on knitting….one of the things I have incorporated in my planner is an analog log of my knitting. So hopefully when I sit down to blog about a project it hasn’t all gone to LaLaLand. In this spread I make notes of what yarn, pattern and needles I have used. Also with a note of whom it was knitted for. After I got the Polaroid zip I even started adding a picture of the finished project.<br />

I feel it’s too impersonal and lacks creativity. So when SweetieS started school this last fall and all the parents agreed that we would give money when it came to birthdays, I went on Pintrest to get some ideas.</p><p>So far I have “toilet rolled” a few and made “piggy banks”.</p><table align="center" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">

When I visited Portugal many years ago I was introduced to Sangria, a refreshing drink based on red wine. During the trip I found variations with white wine, rose and champagne! We quickly realized that the sangria based with rose wine was our favorite.<br />
I had yet to try to make it myself though. So when I got the chance this past weekend, I gave it a try…<br />
According to my Portuguese friend, the Portuguese version is usually made with Portuguese liqueurs, most commonly “Licor beirão” (flavors of seeds and herbs) and “Liqueur de Laffon” (orange flavors). And Sumol (Portuguese sparkling water) to top it of. These liquids are not available here in Norway, So I opted for liquids with similar qualities. I ended up with “St.Hallvard” for the herbal liqueur and “Cointreau” for the orange liqueur . To replace Sumol I just used a cheap lemon/lime soda.<br />
To give it the Sangria look and feel, I added some sliced fruits. Here is the ingrediencies I used:<br />
- an apple<br />- a lemon<br />- a lime<br />- an orange<br />- a bottle of red wine ( I just used a bottle of Italian red wine I had laying around)<br />- 4cl St.Hallvard liqueur<br />- 4cl Cointreu liqueur<br />- 1,5l lemon/lime soda<br />(add a tablespoon or two og brown sugar if you want the cocktail even sweeter)<br />
I was recommended to mix the fruits and alcohols together and let sit for at least a few hours. Add the soda just before serving.<br />

It’s been a while since I last blogged about my planner. Mostly because I have forgotten….spent too much my researching my newfound love for bullet journals. New for 2019 is the use of dot journaling or bullet journaling as many call it (though as far as I have understood the term is overly used)<br />
For now, I have the same weekly spread throughout the month, but I am thinking about changing it more frequently. And new with my dot journal, is the use of monthly covers. I like that the monthly cover sets the theme for the month.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<em><br /></em></div>
<div align="left">
I’m not true to the Ryder Carroll bullet journaling style as I don’t use the all the bullets and the yearly, monthly, weekly and daily drill down. I just jot down what I need to remember, when I need to remember it. Very plain and simple. My planner is still a place for my memories as I still don’t feel I have time to sit down and scrapbook, so I will be going for a weekly layout that allows me to put in a picture or two along with some extra notes.</div>
<div align="left">
The result is still two pages weeklies….but now I can change out the layout from month to month, or even from week to week. Since I still use a ring planner, I can move/add/remove pages as I feel like. I use dotted pages I downloaded from <a href="https://wellella.com/bullet-journal/supplies/free-dot-grid-printables/?ref=7a#Download_dot_grid_printable_here">wellella</a>. Thank you! You made my transition into dot journaling much easier. This way I get the planner pages I need/want and just the amount of creativity I want.</div>

Yesterday I woke up to a thin white blanket covering the streets infront of my house. Not long until I will be shoveling snow again.</p><p><br></p><p>In preparation for winter, the girls need a layer of warm clothes to wear with their overalls. I concluded I would use the Drops “<a href="https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=5403&cid=1">Starshine</a>” pattern and make my own pattern on the yolk. For the pants I started with the pattern for “<a href="https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=5394&cid=1">Power leggings</a>” but didn’t like the shape of the finished pants. So after recommendations from a good colleague, I ended up using “<a href="https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=8199&cid=1">Winter wolf</a>” for all three sets . I bought Drops Karisma yarn when they had a sale earlier this year. I even made a set for my niece, hope she likes it.</p><p>For the waist I followed a youtube video on how to knit an icord.</p><p>For my niece I used the colors “dark purple” (uni color 76) for the pattern and “rose” (uni color 80) for the rest. She got two pair of pants as I made that one first with elastics in the waistline. I used 5 skeins of the main color for the sweater and 5 skeins for the pants. for the accents I used 2 skeins.</p><p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X29-1OMZK7U/W_Z2UC5g6GI/AAAAAAAACSE/2xvu0_6v_vUUinAdiXCE_6t0_QHYDyGwgCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B25.10.2018%252C%2B19%2B58%2B16%255B12%255D"><img width="640" height="480" title="Bilde 25.10.2018, 19 58 16" style="border: 0px currentcolor; border-image: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 25.10.2018, 19 58 16" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-G_8YeYEqyEw/W_Z2U8LLTzI/AAAAAAAACSI/FvU1pIEAPZ4cbztn86jD-8Px-hJ5wtZMgCHMYCw/Bilde%2B25.10.2018%252C%2B19%2B58%2B16_thumb%255B9%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>for my niece….</em></p><p><br></p><p>For SweetieL I used the colors “light denim blue” (uni color 30) for the pattern and “navy blue” (uni color 17) for the rest. When I was almost done , SweetieL requested the waist cord to be in a different color. So she got to choose from some yarns I had in my stash. She was still not happy with the end result until we added the pom poms. On this set I also used 5 skeins of the main color and 1 skein for the accents for a total of 12 skeins of Karisma.</p><p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZNxfTrYXdJk/W_Z2Vcp-0wI/AAAAAAAACSM/ciV1y0gi26ckeY1RERkD7ejIxXgG71BTgCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B13.11.2018%252C%2B22%2B00%2B57%255B10%255D"><img width="449" height="480" title="Bilde 13.11.2018, 22 00 57" style="border: 0px currentcolor; border-image: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 13.11.2018, 22 00 57" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFQzcK2zlOirIe3BA1M4Ty1VIpLLu1p82E6KoEj056QXhrir-JcfFsZdBczO-si73tiQYGdapn8BGRi_riYJw-0SEi8E7tH8rAPiao7WbqHKhVLDpOPOU4O3kVlBmirMMSRsiVgsWZKiXP/?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>for SweetieL….</em></p><p>And the last set, for SweetieS, I used the colors “light grey green” (uni color 69) for the pattern and “sea green” (mix 50) for the rest. SweetieS got her set in a bigger size. So for her set I used 6 skeins for the sweater and 5 on the pants in addition to the 2 skeins for the accents.</p><p align="center"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-s8iIBAvDmY4/W_8ZuARaJJI/AAAAAAAACSo/_7IbQM2DW2At9eS6AYwoRg2ybcSz7nPkwCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B28.11.2018%252C%2B23%2B16%2B26%255B13%255D"><img width="468" height="480" title="Bilde 28.11.2018, 23 16 26" style="border: 0px currentcolor; border-image: none; display: inline; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 28.11.2018, 23 16 26" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PapnSvFz2OA/W_8ZuwIa2CI/AAAAAAAACSs/_tv-P20P5Ps0S-mlEBIqEZzSDebKR1g3wCHMYCw/Bilde%2B28.11.2018%252C%2B23%2B16%2B26_thumb%255B14%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a><br>the picture doesn’t do the color justice…</p><p>These would make great Christmas gifts, but the girls need these garments now. This year we opted to have their birthday party together as they have many common friends. With over 20 invites handed out (and we only invited the girls) I was a bit nervous as to how many would be coming. Luckily “only” 16 girls came.</p><p>The invites was made using a template I found online, thanx to Pintrest. <a href="https://eng.ohmyfiesta.com/2017/10/pj-masks-free-printable-invitations.html?m=1">Here</a> to be exact.. The <a href="https://eng.ohmyfiesta.com/?m=1">Oh my fiesta</a> webpage is a great resource for birthday printables, and ideas. So do check them out for some great ideas. I did some reasearch on comic book fonts and guidelines. I wound up using the font “Comic book” that can be downloaded from <a href="https://www.dafont.com/comic-book.font">dafont.com</a> for free,.</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV5-H22tioJRrlNLQo9EHTPzpHRo5K-XVDjPlgRPDKtVwvNid1wpyG5tg0oDuVdLXeuLU1SSOHOCbdCM7UlOqjaPOrzPNnaNOIw5qXqoAjVXWHapgBJdp19qXi6X_uRVZLVOrcglhpnXWr/s1600-h/Bilde+08.05.2018%252C+00+16+40%255B10%255D"><img width="448" height="337" title="Bilde 08.05.2018, 00 16 40" style="border: 0px currentcolor; border-image: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 08.05.2018, 00 16 40" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-oldnTn9PQE0/WytXvYJ-hvI/AAAAAAAACPk/sdZl-vOtMrYQbLX4LG7_PgOk6Mc_kFVGwCHMYCw/Bilde%2B08.05.2018%252C%2B00%2B16%2B40_thumb%255B8%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>and here are the invites…</em></p><p align="left">With the invites sent out, I started preparing all the other stuff I wanted for the birthday. First thing of…a picture to make a large target wall for the girls to throw sticky splats at. I did some surfing and found the “bad guys” from PJ masks and using the poster print function in my pdf software Adobe Acrobat Pro, I was able to blow it up 400% (!). Now came the hard work, assemble the 16 A3 format sheets of paper. It took about two evenings (after the girls had gone to bed) to get it together, reenforce the back so that it doesn’t easily break.</p><p align="center"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jv11SU0o7R4/WytXv8WwZnI/AAAAAAAACPo/0jPu5yYg0NwZUleMSEWWev-_XP3e7YfDACHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B20.05.2018%252C%2B22%2B30%2B39%255B8%255D"><img width="448" height="337" title="Bilde 20.05.2018, 22 30 39" style="display: inline; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 20.05.2018, 22 30 39" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-fdP1TKmnHSI/WytXwuE198I/AAAAAAAACPs/Z1cEmUu94IoJFkuXZXXBSfSyEMTxt_E0QCHMYCw/Bilde%2B20.05.2018%252C%2B22%2B30%2B39_thumb%255B5%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>puzzled together, now for the holes…</em></p><p align="left">The biggest challenge was how to make a temporary stand to hold it up. the finished poster measured about 1,7meters wide and 1,2 meters high and was too big for one adult to just hold it ut. With stuff we had around the house we were able to make a stand that I could staple the poster to.</p><p align="center"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-C_y53zVxbak/WytXxGH15xI/AAAAAAAACPw/CflqwSQkjmEs4j2rACHkpcdQIwZ6QrGOgCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B27.05.2018%252C%2B10%2B21%2B02%255B14%255D"><img width="448" height="343" title="Bilde 27.05.2018, 10 21 02" style="display: inline; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 27.05.2018, 10 21 02" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dZfjGfLWfUk/WytXxzWv7iI/AAAAAAAACP0/KxVa-LLMJvA1vtyNUzeaX89uW80z7ZRDwCHMYCw/Bilde%2B27.05.2018%252C%2B10%2B21%2B02_thumb%255B16%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>pretty happy with the result…</em></p><p align="left">For sticky splats (“klistreklæsj” in the Norwegian version) I had filled latex gloves wiith water, some with just plain water and some with colored water. Just fill, tie and cut of the exccess part of the glove.</p><p align="center"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kP7AhcrNfTE/WytXyScidoI/AAAAAAAACP4/J1-HBwTGqhkvUJeag0bLYF8x-Z3T0AOZgCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B25.05.2018%252C%2B23%2B17%2B08%255B14%255D"><img width="448" height="337" title="Bilde 25.05.2018, 23 17 08" style="display: inline; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 25.05.2018, 23 17 08" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JNGLN-8kfoU/WytXy6wRr8I/AAAAAAAACP8/jftLVE2Dtw0Gc2X-ik6poUiE9ywwF1FkACHMYCw/Bilde%2B25.05.2018%252C%2B23%2B17%2B08_thumb%255B11%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="left">I wanted all the kids coming to be able to dress for the PJ masks theme, without adding pressure to the parents to buy themed costumes/clothes for the party. So in advance I had put in orders for PJ mask sets which consisted of masks, bracelets and a cape. Since I knew I was going for the PJ masks theme, I had put in orders already in February. You never know how long packages from China will take. I bought mine from these two sellers on AliExpress: <a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/store/3271008">Shop3271008</a> and <a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/store/3514097">COS Store</a>.. In my attempt to gift the sets to the kids, I had wrapped them in for each kid to open its own set. For the “seals” I printed some PJ mask pictures meant for cupcake toppers on some sticker paper and punched them out using a hole punch.</p><p align="center"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-x1lDlc8fs8k/Wyy1aPXVGhI/AAAAAAAACQY/EZPzm_N8oxofdfJEIZpMUuoNWQiIfi9MwCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B21.05.2018%252C%2B22%2B33%2B54%255B6%255D"><img width="448" height="337" title="Bilde 21.05.2018, 22 33 54" style="display: inline; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 21.05.2018, 22 33 54" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-R5C0IwElfy4/Wyy1ajQDeiI/AAAAAAAACQc/hG6LX9cu0Vce637cQPoBxiW3rcwTC6XVACHMYCw/Bilde%2B21.05.2018%252C%2B22%2B33%2B54_thumb%255B4%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>gifts for all….</em></p><p align="left">To make sure that the kids would sit at the table and not run aimlessly around, I had put together an activity pamphlet for each kid. Just a little google search for some coloring pages, connect-the.-dots and some mind-activities, all PJ masked themed of course. Together with a table filled with coloring penciles, the kids sat longer at the table and not just for the food. On our latest UK trip I had bought <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Froot_Loops">Kellogg’s Froot Loops</a>.. Paired with elastic string, the kids could make their own edible necklace/bracelet.</p><p align="center"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-soKFBA4l6uo/Wzx5mqWGvxI/AAAAAAAACQs/F8NZtZsz2RIsE3_Kt89iSoBsbIaHQ6XpwCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B22.06.2018%252C%2B21%2B12%2B35%255B6%255D"><img width="364" height="484" title="Bilde 22.06.2018, 21 12 35" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 22.06.2018, 21 12 35" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-uhPhZ-Y1uLA/Wzx5nAF2pxI/AAAAAAAACQw/xzkd6o8QiqYr9jmOJoOZV--dRqfnO97lQCHMYCw/Bilde%2B22.06.2018%252C%2B21%2B12%2B35_thumb%255B4%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><font style=""></font><em>activity folder when sitting at the table</em></p><p align="left">The last thing I prepped before going to bed…decorating the cakes. I had baked the cake earlier (thank you Gunhild for the supertasty cakes, recipes in Norwegian can be found in Gunhilds blog. Chocolate <a href="http://mineallerbesteoppskrifter.blogg.no/1428489495_saftig_glutenfri_og_g.html">here</a> and carrot cake <a href="http://mineallerbesteoppskrifter.blogg.no/1427463717_gulrotkake_i_langpann.html">here</a>) and they had been cooling down for the most of the day. Just needed to wip up some frosting. Well one cake didn’t take much work as it was a carrot cake with frosting, we just called it sticky splat cake since the frosting looked like something sticky. As for the the other cake I had to put in some more work as the request was a gecko cake. I had printed out a gecko silhouette and cut it out using my trusty <a href="http://www.craftyproducts.co.uk/gyro-cut">Gyro-cut</a> tool. Great when cutting out shapes.. I used the negative as a template when adding the green <a href="https://www.wilton.com/colored-sugar-sprinkles/pg_sugars.html">Wilton sugar sprinkles</a>.</p><p align="left"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1ezwo7GKIbA/Wzx5n-EJ4tI/AAAAAAAACQ0/LhTWtx4uEl0ET5uTVQ2VDk3sIGwpgrBrACHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B27.05.2018%252C%2B00%2B57%2B54%255B8%255D"><img width="644" height="484" title="Bilde 27.05.2018, 00 57 54" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 27.05.2018, 00 57 54" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PI3bJnrNW2w/Wzx5onn0tXI/AAAAAAAACQ4/46BH41JCTlsoDhSNpyf1C33cTlz66gmIACHMYCw/Bilde%2B27.05.2018%252C%2B00%2B57%2B54_thumb%255B6%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p align="center"><em>yummy yummy, both tasted great</em></p><p align="left">After two hours of 16 kids running around the house, I was ready for a break. But no rest for the weary….We had to get the house ready for the family coming to celebrate the girls. By evening all members of CasaR were popped and ready for bed.</p><p align="left">Thanks to all family and friends who made the day great!</p>TweedyBirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18366552204766439067noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118695362530152522.post-32225046456831746822018-05-11T09:25:00.001+02:002018-05-11T09:32:31.661+02:00It’s that time of the year again<p>May is a hectic month for CasaR. There is alot to do at work and on the home front.</p><p>May is the birth month of both SweetieS and SweetieL. So hectic planning and organizing to get ready for celebrating the girls.</p><p>This year we opted to celebrate with all their kindergarten friends. This will problably be the first and last time they have their birthday party together. It’s the last year of kindergarten for SweetieS and the first year for SweetieL with the “big kids”. And since their two kindegarten groups play so well together, I thought we would give it a go. I did however restrict to only invite the girls. We ended up inviting 22 girls (versus 36 boys and girls). Where am I gonna fit 24 girls if they all come???</p><p>The theme is PJ masks and pictures from the day will come. Hopefully I will have time to snap some pictures. Invites have been sent out, now to get all the little things in order. I haven’t involved the girls in the preparations for the party because I want it to be a surprise for them and their guests. Hopefully I haven’t bitten of more than I can chew.</p><p>The family asked for their wishlist, so here it is…based on their recurring “can-I-have-that?-requests” while watching TV. Yes, they still watch TV in these tablet/streaming days.</p><p>Practical wishes from us, the parents;</p><blockquote><p>Both girls love wearing dresses, so casual Summer dresses for everyday use would be nice.</p><p>SweetieS needs some thights to go with those dresses (so she doesn’t flash her undies to everyone)</p></blockquote><p>As for wishes from the girls;</p><p>SweetieS:</p><blockquote><p>Hatchimals (is that how it is spelled?)</p><p>Drawing and writing supplies</p><p>“sydvest” (after loosing her purple one in kindergarten, she’s been longing for a new one)</p><p>Lego classics</p><p>Jumping rope</p></blockquote><p>SweetieL:(wants everything her big sister has..):</p><blockquote><p>Hatchimals </p><p>Drawing and writing supplies</p><p>DVD: Trolls</p><p>Activity books, preferably with lots of stickers</p><p>Lego classics, like <a href="https://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Medium-Creative-Brick-Box-10696">this</a> (these storage boxes are great!)</p></blockquote><p>Here’s hoping we get thru the party weekend in a few weeks.</p>TweedyBirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18366552204766439067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118695362530152522.post-2310873614690146292018-04-15T09:30:00.001+02:002018-04-15T21:55:41.915+02:00Welcome to the world baby EmilyThis past Easter baby Emily came into this world like a comet. Well her birth was long awaited and when the time came for her birth it was over almost before it began. And now my sisters family has added another girl to the family roster. Welcome Emily, wishing you a wonderful life blessed with love and fun!<div><br></div><div>I had to knit something for little Emily, so this time I opted for a blanket. From my experience with the girls, I made a baby blanket larger than the usual baby size. I went for more junior size, the blanket ended up being around 80x100cm in size. I like the idea that the blanket can be used beyond the baby days/years.</div><div><br></div><div>I used a cloth pattern by <a href="https://www.ravelry.com/designers/bitta-mikkelborg">Bitta Mikkelborg</a> called Tusenfryd as a starting point. Did some calculations and ended up with this blanket. Did you know that tusenfryd is Norwegian for daisy?</div><div><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-D8v54cpQxVE/WtOuFyhaIGI/AAAAAAAACNw/OtYnyRTGEI4azarpbn8THkEo4hu2CQRCACHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B23.03.2018%252C%2B21%2B48%2B29%255B4%255D"><em><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ipZ1xXXG9nw/WtOuOdy8ImI/AAAAAAAACN4/SMaSaDXUY6IT2ZOSKJAfeebSzOXZzhrEgCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B23.03.2018%252C%2B21%2B48%2B29%255B8%255D"><img width="180" height="240" title="Bilde 23.03.2018, 21 48 29" style="border: 0px currentcolor; border-image: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 23.03.2018, 21 48 29" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qXCkmLyzSns/WtOuPFvfTXI/AAAAAAAACN8/jb9IOBDMV1gcn3pqv5YTygDqRs803gOBgCHMYCw/Bilde%2B23.03.2018%252C%2B21%2B48%2B29_thumb%255B5%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></em></a></div><div align="center"><em>a field of daisies</em></div><div>I have already started on another blanket, this time for another baby coming very soon. How sweet. In my 30+ years I have still to experience the city of London. The most I had seen of London was in the nighttime from a bus…</p><p><br></p><p>So on Friday we dropped the kids of at kindergarten and headed for the airport. The girls were stoked to be sleeping over at their grandparents while we were away. It was a smooth flight to Gatwick and before I knew it, we were checking in to our hotel located in the Kensington district.</p><p><br></p><p>So a few days with shopping and enjoying each others company, we are back a little more rested. I admit I might have gone a little overboard when shopping at <a href="https://www.primark.com/en-us/homepage">Primark</a>….clothes for the kids are really cheap when you don’t have to pay VAT. They just need a round with an iron to flatten out here and there.</p><p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-my5t_briZiA/Wo1FwuVmplI/AAAAAAAACNI/QFcsl8frSOwZ1II4vCkl4OgWlrsybpj9wCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B12.02.2018%252C%2B20.04.20%255B11%255D"><img width="180" height="240" title="Bilde 12.02.2018, 20.04.20" style="border: 0px currentcolor; border-image: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 12.02.2018, 20.04.20" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-En8vsQrxEEA/Wo1Fw8yfMdI/AAAAAAAACNM/Uv55H8JoZlQbRz2cNd7dIP2An8fgWfBEgCHMYCw/Bilde%2B12.02.2018%252C%2B20.04.20_thumb%255B8%255D?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p>As mentioned in <a href="http://tweedybirdschirps.blogspot.no/2017/10/will-i-make-it-in-time.html">this</a> post, it is a Marius pattern vest that I modified into a dress. I made it longer than the orginal vest and added a border to the bottom. Initially I made them so the girls would have matching dresses for their kindergarten pictures, which is in the Spring. I have yet to receive information about a photo scheduel. so how long can I hold off these dresses until the girls want to use them? With my luck, if I let them use them they’ll eat blueberries or something that make stains that are impossible to get out.</p><p>For these dresses I used <a href="https://www.garnstudio.com/yarn.php?show=drops-baby-merino&cid=1">Drops Baby Merino yarn</a>. This yarn is so nice to knit with. Recommend this yarn if you are knitting patterns with different colors.</p><p>SweetieS choose the color “lilla orkide” (mix 39) as her main color, while SweetieL choose “turkis” (Uni color 32). For the Marius pattern I used “hvit” (Uni color 01). For the collar I used “rosa” (uni color 07). In both dresses I used 4 skeins of the mail color and 1 of each the white and pink..</p><p>An ice cold front has hit Norway the last week, so it’s been good knitting on a baby blanket I’m gifting my sister when her new baby comes…</p><p>-what are you knitting on these days?</p>TweedyBirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18366552204766439067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118695362530152522.post-91351396280179836192017-10-25T11:14:00.001+02:002017-10-25T11:14:17.060+02:00Will I make it in time?<p>Winter is coming and the perfect time to snuggle up on the couch and do some knitting.</p><p>I finally finished my pillow project, a pillow pattern based on a picture I saw online of the quatrefoil pattern. (in case you missed it, <a href="http://tweedybirdschirps.blogspot.no/2016/10/teddy-playgroup.html">here</a> is the post)</p><p>Sine we last saw him Teddy has been “upgraded” with new clothes and a new buddy, Little Teddy. This time SweetieS put in a request for a new hat for Teddy. With temperature rapid falling these days, SweetieS felt Teddy need a warm hat. So I was put to work. I did a quick Google search to have a base to start with. I found <a href="http://www.hekleogstrikkeoppskrifter.com/2011/03/13/strikket-bukse-lue-og-sokker-til-dukken-et-komplett-sett/">this pattern</a>. Starting with 68 stitches I knitted until I felt it was big enough.</p><p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gR2pc_79NPs/Wd5dZPmxL8I/AAAAAAAACLw/E_BPHQ04n24rBDmctoCB-XnN-EW2mt52QCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B07.10.2017%252C%2B09.52.34%255B10%255D"><img width="184" height="244" title="Bilde 07.10.2017, 09.52.34" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; float: none; display: block; background-image: none;" alt="Bilde 07.10.2017, 09.52.34" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7hTKuVdXf3M0dhwy0ntD8dLDOfWc28O9s71PPGlvDAE1iter59uCSWQloIK0jvF68zd-_VPTmwHzBQkSOPjP4vQ1jS5jSkmk6gjMlYY-aMZXVvmVNrlx2yyfPW8H7Pylcr1zRBENfpnPd/?imgmax=800" border="0"></a></p><p>I’m still looking for Lille Teddy. He went to bed with Teddy and SweetieS and has yet to show up…I’ve emptied the bed (SweetieS has “a few” stuffed animals) and still no sign of him…</p><p>These days the windows in our house are being changed. So the weekend was spendt clearing and getting ready for the upcoming renovation, while the girls had a sleep over at the grand parents.</p><p><em>- how have you spendt your weekend?</em></p><p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gQcUJvOwfak/Wd5daGx_4GI/AAAAAAAACL4/kpvPzam0DKAz3QDAeLfvs0O4L1KGRjAiQCHMYCw/s1600-h/Bilde%2B07.10.2017%252C%2B09.38.07%255B10%255D"><br></a></p>TweedyBirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18366552204766439067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118695362530152522.post-69229315620034170642017-09-20T10:42:00.001+02:002017-09-20T10:42:35.190+02:00I “heart” NY<p>Just a few days ago I wrapped up my annual New York (US?) trip with mummy dearest.</p> <p>This time around we actually had time to both do some sightseeing and shopping. Not like last time, were my suitcase suit case tok a few rounds extra around the world (read its story <a href="http://tweedybirdschirps.blogspot.no/2016/09/the-case-of-travelling-suitcase.html">here</a>).</p> <p align="center"><img src="https://www.newyorkpass.com/images/homepage/cardHome.png" width="128" height="120"></p> <p>I had in advanced ordered the <a href="https://www.newyorkpass.com/En/">New York Pass</a>. These passes are great if you plan on doing some sightseeing over a few days, or even just one day. If you download the app, you can plan in advance. The app had a nice feature for setting up an agenda for the day and gives a calculated savings overview. Great to check if it is worth investing in a pass at all. I recommend starting out early the sightseeing day(s), a lot of time is wasted in ticket queues and (airportlike) security checks. Oh and pick up your pass in advance! so you don’t waste time queing for the pass. The pass is activated upon the first attraction.</p>TweedyBirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18366552204766439067noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118695362530152522.post-87189195350352673312017-06-05T22:06:00.001+02:002017-06-05T22:09:31.910+02:00A sunny day<p>Summer is slowly coming to Oslo, Norway. On this this beautiful sunny day we went for a longer drive and visited a friend DaffyM in Bødalen (Norwegian for boo-valley). Mostly because SweetieL is very intimidated by dogs, and my friend has a cute little jack russell terrier called Bella. We planned a longer visit for SweetieL to warm up to Bella. A few hours later SweetieL isn’t runing after dogs, but she doesn’t run the opposite direction either. So some progress. We might have to give it a few more rounds before SweetieL warms up to dogs…</p> <p>Part of warming up for our visit, I have been showing SweetieL pictures of Bella. And <a href="https://images.garnstudio.com/drops/mag/102/43/43-2.jpg">this</a> picture on the Garnstudio website is a nice picture of a jack. In this pciture there is a very nice coat for dogs. So why not make it for little Bella? well just a few days before our visit I dug out the necessary yarns and started. After making a major mistake (I misread the pattern) I had to almost restart this project. But with a few hours less sleep this weekend I finished in time for our visit…</p> <p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5hyBpg5VFsX6Nh2PyvUDIfuxH6bOH343xMq6L-5-76FyAIs3M_UQIRhs-BfbuimQqbfZpvSDYc9tyiUJK9v5lzEuQdUY7GTaHUhTznGAWo2yMx3YqlV-Cf5mAN9snd7yzkwy845anFAlY/s1600-h/Bilde+05.06.2017%252C+11.43.16%255B8%255D"><img title="Bilde 05.06.2017, 11.43.16" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; padding-right: 0px; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="Bilde 05.06.2017, 11.43.16" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzq-qAhIhqWnDg4ongWhYMm8rlccqXjuYGHXDaB9KVT0VWFxN6Z-IoT2_ab1sAtFRiNTPHpZIPSo0B5jFQLUFl8ooNcyKdBiFzTExSJLUvhBDI6hZmEm14i8drTl1CICHFN7xg_lDBKZ7S/?imgmax=800" width="244" height="173"></a><em>sweet little Bella</em></p> <p>I followed the pattern called <a href="https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=3489&cid=19">“The lookout” by Drops design</a>. I did however make it shorter than the measurements for the medium size. Bella is on the petite side of Jack Russells. I used 3 skeins of Drops karisma In the color Lavendel – 074), I had some left over from a <a href="http://tweedybirdschirps.blogspot.no/search/label/my%20sister%20%26%20me">My sister & me project</a>, where I made matching tunicas for the girls. Luckily Bella tested the coat long enough for a snap.</p> <p><em>- how have you spent this beautiful day off?</em></p>TweedyBirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18366552204766439067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118695362530152522.post-18151120625375437962017-05-23T14:01:00.001+02:002017-05-23T14:11:12.628+02:00The month of May<p>The month of May is a hectic month at CasaR. With Norways national day just passed, I have my hands full with planing and getting ready for the birthday of SweetieS and SweetieL. As they both are born on the same day it’s double the <strike>trouble</strike> fun.</p> <p>As part of getting CasaR ready for the hoards of family and friends coming over, I have tried to organize our hallway. After SweetieL began kindergarten…it has been a constant mess…well some of it anyways…the shoes to start with…</p> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="400" align="center" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td valign="top" width="200"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0hq13f7cbyQ/WSQkk-2xLaI/AAAAAAAACJ8/IrGMsvkWu8UB3QLEIfnNew5uYu0cHK_4QCHM/s1600-h/Bilde%2B20.05.2017%252C%2B21.31.18%255B8%255D"><img title="Bilde 20.05.2017, 21.31.18" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="Bilde 20.05.2017, 21.31.18" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PSY-mVLn368/WSQklXhMXTI/AAAAAAAACKA/h69beyeP2W4Re-1pCeAwNRhRKKX0-ntegCHM/Bilde%2B20.05.2017%252C%2B21.31.18_thumb%255B5%255D?imgmax=800" width="184" height="244"></a></td> <td valign="top" width="200"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E7CzNSSFaCc/WSQkl4OAQTI/AAAAAAAACKE/obLVQ2W8-BMh6ov4b2RazQHXuXTBUxq-wCHM/s1600-h/Bilde%2B20.05.2017%252C%2B22.08.30%255B8%255D"><img title="Bilde 20.05.2017, 22.08.30" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="Bilde 20.05.2017, 22.08.30" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7bZWU_AG9DQ/WSQkmXv7P1I/AAAAAAAACKI/vkW64doLBkY0I3anCWECjk_6uIwb0JI0wCHM/Bilde%2B20.05.2017%252C%2B22.08.30_thumb%255B5%255D?imgmax=800" width="184" height="244"></a></td></tr> <tr> <td valign="top" width="200"> <p align="center"><em>before</em></p></td> <td valign="top" width="200"> <p align="center"><em>after</em></p></td></tr></tbody></table> <p>I upgraded our existing IKEA setup. I added a few <a href="http://www.ikea.com/no/no/catalog/products/00011536/">Grundtal</a> hooks on the top rack so the girls can hang their jackets when they get in the door.</p> <p>May 17th is Norways constitution day…so we all dressed up and went out. It is a tradition in my neighbourhood to have a May 17th parade….so we joined that.
