Like a Kardashian

Ebay has made sure that SweetieS hair is always stylish. With plenty of hair clips in all the colors of the rainbow I’ve seen the need for better storage. Plastic bags hasn’t been working very well – as SweetieS gets her hands on them and starts unpacking.

Since Ebay had been the source of her many hair accessories I thought Ebay could be the source of organization. When I saw these I thought it be a good start. Fits neatly on the glass shelf in front of the mirror in the bathroom. Nice and handy. Maybe you’ve seen similar around. I remember these being very popular when Kim Kardashian showcased her makeup storage.

though these drawers don’t hold all her hair clips and hair bands – it is a start…

A little lighter

Today was the last day of my maternity leave…*sigh*…gonna miss spending my days with BabyS. Have the last weeks gradually returned to work. Today it dawned on me, no more maternity leave. Well I had planned a nice long stroller ride with BabyS in the wonderful weather that has come to Oslo the last few weeks, until I woke up to a gloomy grey day. So stroller ride cancelled and a relaxing day at home instead. No complaints from BabyS and we spent the day warm and cozy, playing in almost all the rooms in our home that is CasaR Smile with tongue out

I’ve been looking at new hairdos for a few days now and have been contemplating bangs. A change in my everyday life, why not a change in my hair? Today I took the plunge and cut it!

before… after…

My new bangs are longer than in the picture….just out of the shower they wanted to stand straight up, only got them to cooperate a little before I snapped the picture. As always, after a haircut I still need time to adjust to the change Sarcastic smile

Head piece for me

Today I’ve had a lot of free time on my hands. With a “strolling-date” with the girls tomorrow at hand I thought I would make a head band for myself. I’ve planned to make one of these head band made by Stinemor for ages.

It was super easy to make and I finished in not time at all.

I knitted this head band in double threads of Merino wool by Trysil Garn. This grey color is nice and neutral against my black hair…

Thank you Stinemor for sharing this pattern.

Who killed the neighbors' cat…

IMG_0849[1]

and left its’ remains in our shower?

Relax, even though our neighbors cat has a number of times left brown and stinking surprises in our backyard, it’s still alive and kicking. These are the remains left from washing my hair, once! Believe it or not I still have hair left on my head!

I expected that hair loss after giving birth to BabyS could occur – as hormones causes a great head of hair during the pregnancy. So when the pregnancy is over, the body “returns” to “normal” shedding the strands of hair I should have lost during the pregnancy  But this is ridiculous! It’s been almost four months. Shouldn’t things be returning to normal??? Shedding this amount of hair daily….at this rate my next blog post will be asking for recommendations to a good wig maker…

To cut, or not to cut?

…that is the question I’m asking myself these days.

It’s been a while since I had my hair cut and now my hair is starting to show signs of wear and tear, breaking off easily and ends splitting up. Since it’s Easter almost everything here in Oslo is closed. So a visit to the hairdresser is out of the question. Since I haven’t had many great experiences with hairdressers in Oslo, I thought I would look into the option of cutting my own hair.

I took a look at cutting tips on Youtube and found the following videos:

Both contained advice I found applicable to me…now the question I ask myself, to cut, or not to cut?
